The Museum of Science

The Museum of Science

The Museum of Science was a great field trip. We saw animals from the everglades, like the great egret, baby alligators, and water snakes. We also saw giant sea turtles large cat fish and scorpions. When we first arrived we seen a 3-D movie called under the sea. Afterwards we headed upstairs to the museum, and we went inside a fake spaceship. We took a quiz on how much water we waste a day, and played virtual volleyball. We went down stairs ate lunch then we left. The Museum of Science is a field trip id like to go to again.

Welcome to my life

Welcome to my life

Welcome to my life by Jennifer Osme.
Welcome to my life. It is more fascinating than the feathers on a peacock.
From the second I wake I hear the speeding cars on the highway.
It reminds me that life is over rated.
Through the haze and daze that lead to lonely ways I always stop in my foot steps and admire nature.
This makes me grateful, the fact that I do get to wake up and that I’m free to do as I please.
When I am bored I go to my friend’s house, I get excited when I hear the ice cream truck, like a child’s first Christmas or like a dog playing with his owner.
This is my life not yours, you don’t understand my culture.
Your definition of what Haitian means is different because in my world being Haitian is being whole hearted and hard working, high spirited and independent.
Welcome to my life. For fun I like to paint my nails.
It makes me happier than eating.
In the electric heaven I call God,
I always make sure that He will guide me on the right path.
In my life my favorite person is Christina Aguilera.
She is as beautiful as a dove and as graceful as swan.
She makes me feel unstoppable when I hear the sound of her voice.
It takes me into the bright lights of the heavens and never makes my life seem bumpy.

My Country tis of Thee

My Country tis of Thee

My country is hot
My country is grand, with beautiful beaches and golden sand. Busy workers try to bargain with customers, the men cheering to the sound of soccer.
The smell of fried foods fills the air with its exotic tastes in your mouth to give your tongue a flare.
Sand storms sweep peoples feet as they walk up and down the street.
To a store, or a house, or school, or a beach. By foot or car however may they reach?
My country is small but full of pride, and its loud festive music fills the night.
Wherever I go wherever I may be I will never forget my country, Haiti.

The Kampong

The Kampong
My experience at the botanicals was alright. It was very hot and humid. Besides the heat I had a fun time. I saw a snake, and had a mini tour of the garden on how it was thought up, who decided to bring Asian culture into the garden, and how students from different colleges come to the garden for study on plant life. The garden had a path that lead to a cliff that over looked the ocean. There were many holes in the ground which were homes to spiders. I saw an iguana, there were many dragon flies. There was a pool there called the old pool. The botanical garden used to be a home to it founder but after his death his family de3cided to turn it to a garden. At first they didn’t allow people to visit the garden. It was a private area. When people started to become curious about what in there, the garden finally let its gates open for tourists, college’s camps and other group organizations.
